hello!!

i haven't been doing a ton since i last posted, but i suppose i have a few things to talk about!

i went to nagoya one weekend, finally went to the pokemon center, but i unfortunately didn't find any good munchlax merch :( he's my favorite right now! i want a giant munchlax plushie ahhhh. oh well, here's some photos from the pokecenter! it was completely packed, like shoulder to shoulder. i wasn't expecting the place to be so small! i still had fun going inside and seeing all the stuff they had though!

there was that one cute plushie of him, but i didn't really wanna spend money on a small one, ya know?

me and my friend explored the mall a little more and it was very fun! i also got to go to OSU market for the first time while it was open. it wasn't too busy, but it was still pretty cool to walk around

i will still never get over freak's store. i just can't. why did they call it that. like how do i apply ',:} lol. the freshness burger place just made me laugh. idk i love english being used in japan. i know everybody and they momma makes jokes about it but i mean it's genuinely hilarious and brings a smile to your face. like burger...so fresh...yummy...ALSO FRIEREN MENTIONED! i love that anime. also sriracha vending machine??? tf. cool but i just thought it was so random. do japanese people buy sriracha that much for it to need its own vending machine??? anyways

the pizza was from this solo pizza something place in OSU and it was actually so good. i got a coffee and tiramisu as well which just really hit the spot, but the tiramisu was definitely lacking lady fingers (it's a type of cake, be mature) IT FRICKED ME UP SO BAD THO CAUSE LIKE my body CANNOT handle caffiene at all. it's really sad because i love coffee so much, and i wish i could have it often, but i just can't. i'll literally get shakes from it, and my heart rate increases significantly. ugh. it was still worth it though and i would do it again. there's just something so nice about coffee at night. i personally think that's the best time to enjoy it. an awesome, dimlit cafe at like 10pm, sharing a frickin triple shot espresso with your girlies. it's such a great atmosphere!

on another note, i've been watching quite a bit of japanese shows. i have nord VPN, but the japanese netflix has much more japanese dramas i can watch, so i don't bother changing my region. so with that, shows that aren't produced by netflix usually don't have english subtitles. I'VE WATCHED TWO WHOLE SHOWS!!! FULLY IN JAPANESE!!! and i understood so much of it! i'm so proud of myself :D it was really fun too. i watched one called Hana☆Kimi, which is basically about a japanese girl who left her home in america to sneak into an all boy's school in japan so she can support her favorite high school athlete who stopped doing the sport. i won't spoil anything, because i genuinely reccomend trying to watch it (it might be on Viki or something with english sub) but it was sooo good and hilarious and cute. i did get second lead syndrome because i freaking loved the second lead so much, they're always somehow better, huh. or maybe not better, you kinda just ship them more than with the main lead. it was made in 2007 so yeah pretty dated, but honestly i kinda prefer early 2000s japanese shows. i think mainly cause of the fashion that's always in it haha. another show i finished was called Minato's Laundromat (a BL). it's modern, i think it was made in like 2022. it's ummm a decent age gap, which irl is bad, but i'm a freaking sucker for large age gaps in media. sue me. it's really cute, has a great story, until THEY FREAKING MAKE ONE OF THE CHARACTERS GET AND INJURY AND THEN AMNESIA AND FORGETS EVERYTHING ABOUT HIS PARTNER. so tired of that cliche. it did end up fine obviously, but it was just so unnecessary. i love cliches, i HATE THAT ONE. it immediately made me want to stop watching the show, but it was like the last two episodes of the last season so i hung on. the ending made up for it so it was fine. still DUMB THO. but yeah i was really surprised that i was able to understand pretty much everything. i usually didn't look up stuff that i didn't know unless the moments were important, but most of the time i either knew what they were saying, or i just guessed with context clues

after that, i got into an awesome manga called 気になってる人が男じゃなかった (the guy she was interested in wasn't a guy at all) which is literally the best yuri ever?! i've read it before, back when it was still a webcomic, but i forgot about it. well recently i saw a video on youtube that was talking about lesbian aesthetics in japan and they brought this manga up. i immediately stopped the video and just read the whole manga, or at least what was avaliable in english. it's funny because i hadn't really heard much about it since i first read it (literally like over 5 years ago maybe) but for some reason it had genuinely been on my mind recently, and when i watched that video, i just knew i had to read it. it literally surpassed my expectations. i've been intaking a lot of BL lately so i kinda wanted to watch more of that, but i really liked minato's laundromat so much that i couldn't bring myself to watch another one. so yeah my solution was to switch to yuri LOL. i remember the story and art being absolutely amazing, but just wow. it's genuinely the best manga i've ever read, i think. albeit i'm more into romcom and slice of life genres, so it was perfect for me. but yeah if you have never read it, this is your sign. it's on mangadex in multiple languages :D

mitsukiiiiiii. i wanna be her so bad. or i'm just very attracted to her. a bit of both actually. i relate to her so much

changing the topic again, we have a vending machine at school that is a specific one that can do hot or cold drinks like hot cocoa, coffee, or teas. like it just kinda mixes it with water and pours it in a cup for you. it's difficult to describe, but basically it's not a normal vending machine. well, they have a REALLLY TASTY HOT COCOA in the machine that i CANNOT find in stores anywhere else. i LOVE HOT COCOA more than coffee for sure, and this one reminds me of swiss miss which is like my favorite instant cocoa. it's so good idk why. so anyways, now that it's gotten cold, i've been looking forward to get a hot cocoa every morning when i get to school. the bad thing about this vending machine is that it is SUPPOSED to take bills, BUT IT DOESNT FREAKING WORK!!! it's freaking broken i swear. so you can only pay with coins, which i did not have enough, and i was really looking forward to a hot cocoa as always. it's my main motivator to getting to school early, genuinely lol. no one in my class had change, so i just went to the normal vending machine outside and got the cheapest coffee so i could get some change for next time. let me tell you, i know japan is crazy about their vending machines. and i already knew that you could get hot drinks from them too. but this was my first time getting a hot drink, and it was just so odd. like i already knew that you could, but when i bought it and held it and drank it, i just kept thinking it was so odd lol. anyways it was good, but yeah coffee. fricked me up for the whole morning until i ate lunch. i'm just excited to get hot cocoa tomorrow haha

anyways, i've been having a very great time lately! i've made more friends, been playing ping pong a lot, and i've made plans to go visit kyoto soon and hopefully see some 紅葉 (basically just fall leaves). oh yeah also i didn't do anything on halloween. i dressed up as close to a mob boss as i could, and i did end up finding a bigger munchlax plush at the second hand store, and we both wore glasses lol. it was cute. me and my friends were thinking about going out but decided not to cause it was pouring down rain like crazy (somehow it's always raining or snowing on halloween no matter where i am???), so i just ended up playing ping pong with them. sober this time LOL

ayways, until next time!

またね!
